This avoids having our customers face the challenges you are facing. This allows the scanner to essentially to be a separate keyboard wedge device more or less separate from the scale. When we sell these scanner/scales it is with a dual cable interface. You should see if you can either do this or get a different cabling for that scanner/scale.

That being said if you can setup the OPOS driver so that it gets the scanner to emulate a keyboard wedge through the OPOS driver, then you are all set. Since there have been these types of scanners since the beginning of time, we have not done anything in the program to work with any other type of scanner (serial, OPOS, etc.) Scanning works wherever the cursor is flashing. This type of scanner is the easiest to use for most of our customers and works right out of the box.
Currently RetailEdge only works with a keyboard wedge scanner. Good to hear the OPOS scale worked for you.
